Getting Around

Our two venues, the Big House and Venue by 4M, were selected to allow attendees easy accessibility to each site, as well as all that downtown Ann Arbor has to offer. Michigan Tech Week's venue sites are just a short walk from each other. Plus, you can get to wherever you need to go via nearby public transportation, including local bus stops, rideshares, rentable bikes, and scooters throughout the city.

MTW attendees will have the option to experience an autonomous vehicle ride from May Mobility, which will have ongoing shuttle routes daily throughout the week.

Q: Do I have to attend all four days or can I purchase a day pass?

A: Michigan Tech Week offers four full days of programming for a single rate! We encourage you to take advantage of everything the week has to offer, but you are welcome to use your ticket to attend only the events that interest you.

Q: Is there an agenda available? If not, when will the agenda be available?

A: We're hard at work finalizing the 2023 schedule with many exciting people and organizations involved, including over 50 speakers from across the country. We plan to have more information to share after Labor Day. In the meantime, we recommend keeping an eye on the Michigan Tech Week website and LinkedIn for updates on event details.

Q: Which days should founders show up?

A: We recommend that founders come to ALL FOUR DAYS of the event! MTW is designed to create new connections and deepen existing ones. There will be multiple opportunities and spaces dedicated to relationship building throughout the week. Stay tuned for the schedule and announcements in the coming weeks, and check us out on LinkedIn to stay connected on what’s happening!

Q: Is there a group rate for registration?

A: Yes! We are offering the two following group package rate options:

• 10 tickets discounted by 40% off the full price ($199 per ticket)

• 25 tickets discounted by 50% the full price

Please email info@michigantechweek.com if you are interested in requesting a group ticket package.

Q: Do you offer student pricing for tickets?

A: Yup! Students must show proof of student identification, e.g., student id image or number and can purchase a ticket to access the full conference for $99. Please note that there is an option to select the student ticket rate during checkout on the registration page.

Q: What is the process for reviewing and granting scholarships?

A: Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we are pleased to offer a limited number of scholarship tickets for individuals to attend MTW 2023. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship ticket, please complete this form and someone from our team will contact you on eligibility.

Q: Can you tell me a bit more about the pitch competitions?

A: Pitch competitions are a great way to provide founders with the opportunity to share/present their business plan (or in this instance, pitch) on a main MTW stage to a group of expert judges for prizes that will directly help them build their companies.

Q: How do I participate in the Pitch Competitions?

A: This year, we have five pitch competition tracks (listed below). Each has its own open call for applicants.

FinTech Startup Pitch Showcase

AI Startup Pitch Competition

Life Sciences Startup Pitch Competition

University Startup Pitch Competition

MFF Venture Competition

Q: How do you apply to compete in the pitch competitions?

A: Look for more details on how to participate in the various MTW Pitch Competitions on this page.

Q: How can I become involved in Michigan Tech Week?

A: The Michigan Tech Week organizers have a process and selection committees to determine the themes, sessions, speakers and other activities offered during the conference. If you are interested in being considered as a speaker, event host or wish to inquire about other partnership opportunities, please email: info@michigantechweek.com.

Q: How do I become an organizer for MTW 2023?
