Terrence J.L. Reeves represents technology and emerging companies at all stages of development, from start-ups to large cap companies. His practice includes corporate and securities law matters, entity formation, corporate governance, venture capital financings, software licensing, strategic alliances, and exit transactions. Terrence advises clients across a diverse range of industries and technologies, including enterprise software, IaaS, PaaS, digital health, consumer products, cyber-security, and mobility.Previously, Terrence served emerging companies and investors as a venture capital attorney at major law firms, having reached the status of partner, and prior to that, he served as an AUSA in the E.D. of Michigan, where he led the Financial Crimes Task Force. A multi-tooled attorney, Terrence has advised a global CPG company on its land acquisition strategy and developed strategies for then Detroit Mayor-elect Mike Duggan.Terrence received his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he focused his studies on corporate law. He also earned an M.B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and studied venture capital at Wharton. Once a high school dropout, Terrence is a frequent speaker on angel investing, venture capital and entrepreneurship in the region.
