Elliot Smith graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and spent 6 years as a municipal engineering consultant, representing over 30 communities as their city or county engineer.

He recently earned his MBA from Michigan State University, where he founded Motmot, a company focused on using AI-driven robots for water infrastructure inspection. Currently, Motmot operates out of Newlab in Detroit, where Elliot and his team are advancing their technology to help cities manage our drinking water.
